Who is convincing who?

I had someone very close to me raise a very good question in relation to the work that I am involved with in the spiritual and non-physical.  They asked me if I felt like I needed to defend my position, who I am, what I do and what I believe in.  This is a very good question, and I feel honestly, that the answer is probably yes.  But this is a good response.  Because I was honest with myself, but more importantly it allowed me to examine where my beliefs and views came from.

One of my favorite inspirational quotes is by Mahatma Ghandi “Be the change you wish to see in the world“.   Yet how often we read and see such inspirational quotes yet we fail to truly comprehend what they actually mean.
